Jenna Sweeney

Jenna’s daughter has danced with Platinum Studios for 9 years and has been an active part of the studio since. With change of ownership in 2020- Jenna now oversees the studio. She can be found in the office throughout the week, and is available to help answer any questions you have!

Jessica

My name is Jessica Baxter. I am the head instructor here at Platinum Studios. I have been with Platinum since we opened, about 14 years ago. I teach mainly ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and contemporary. Lyrical and tap are my favorite styles of dance. I started my dance career at the age of 2, with the Performing Arts Company in Maple Grove, MN. In 6th grade I started training at Dancin’ on Broadway in Brooklyn Park, MN. I also danced with my high school team at Osseo Senior High; as well at The College of Saint Benedict. Throughout all my years of being a dancer, I have trained with many professionals including Mike Minery and Kim McSwain; and in more recent years Rhonda Miller, Mandy Yip, Mia Michaels, Denise Wall, Nan Giordano, and Tricia Miranda. I also have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in math, from The College of Saint Benedict.

Haley

My name is Haley Jochum. I have been teaching at Platinum since 2018. I studied at Janet Lang Dance Studio for 16 years in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and ballet. I was a 5 year member and 2 year captain of the John Marshall Rockettes high school competitive dance team, a 5 year varsity high kick member, and 4 year varsity jazz member. I was also a 4 year member, 1 year captain of the pom/performance team. I have been in 3 Children's Dance Theater productions, as well as performing in 2 productions of the Nutcracker with the Russian Ballet.

 

Sakayah

My name is Sakayah Harvey. I have been teaching at Platinum Studios since 2022. I grew up dancing at Platinum, so it is extra exciting to be back teaching a new generation of dancers. I danced as a JM Rockette for a number of years, as well as Just for Kix. My favorite styles are hip hop and contemporary.
